Neela by Sapphire Fibres and Recover™ debut sustainable denim collection at Kingpins Amsterdam

Recover™ recently collaborated with Neela by Sapphire Fibres - a Pakistan-based denim mill - to develop a circular denim, made with recycled fibers and no dye. We’re constantly collaborating with supply chain partners for more sustainable options. In this new collection, we wanted to create environmentally conscious fabrics while staying true to authentic denim. This meant zero dyeing and 100% traceability. Recover™ Meets Neela by Sapphire Fibres

Neela by Sapphire Fibres is a denim mill based in Pakistan on a mission to change the way that denim is made and sold from Asia. From ensuring a healthy workplace to minimizing carbon footprint in their processes, their practices are designed to optimize sustainability and ensure ethical denim. What Makes This Denim Low Impact?

The denim from this collection is low impact thanks to a number of factors:

Raw Materials

Due to the use of Recover™ fibers, we maintain the color and authenticity of the denim without depending on virgin cotton. Using these fabrics helps maintain a circular approach and

Traceability

The products from this collection have a physical tracer embedded with Recover Trace technology. This ensures full traceability and transparency and allows us to check the presence of Recover™ fibers in the product.

Zero Dyeing

One of the main factors setting this collection apart is zero dyeing. By eliminating the traditional dyeing processes, these fabrics have significantly fewer carbon emissions as well as reducing the use of water, chemicals, and energy. The natural characteristics of the denim clips used result in a unique shade with its own distinctive charm.

Soft, Authentic Denim

The end result is a classic authentic denim with a soft hand-feel, maintaining the signature look, feel, and quality we expect from classic denim.
